Year 2022 will mark COSUCRA’s history. In March 2022, Jacques Crahay, current CEO, will leave his role after more than 20 years at the head of the family business. Eric Bosly, his successor, will officially take over as CEO to help COSUCRA realize its purpose driven journey of “Building our future with Nature.”.

COSUCRA : a family story

COSUCRA has always remained in the same family since its origin as a sugar factory in 1852. Through years, the company has faced many challenges and managed to transform itself as a leading company in the production of natural ingredients. Jacques Crahay, with his brother, has played a key role in this transformation : they succeeded in changing COSUCRA’s business model by stopping sugar production to develop ingredients made from chicory and yellow peas raw materials.

Eric Bosly, COSUCRA’s futur CEO

Eric Bosly, Jacques Crahay’s nephew, will take up the torch of the family business with great pride and honor. With 20 years of experience in the company in both operational and sales roles, Eric Bosly has demonstrated innovation and commercial can-do spirit that will be be essential to accomplish COSUCRA’s mission of providing food ingredients good for the environment and for the health & wellness. Always a step ahead, he wants to put its ambition at the service of the food of tomorrow: local, plant-based, healthy and delicious while being environment-friendly.

Building our future with Nature

Eric Bosly is ready to face one of tomorrow’s challenges: transform our way of life in order to protect the environment. At COSUCRA, the impact is twofold. On the one hand, all of our food ingredients are used to manufacture plant-based alternatives to animal based products – essential to have a significant reduction of our GHG emissions. On the other hand, COSUCRA has a direct impact due to its industrial activities. The objective is to reduce our fossil fuels’ consumption by 50% by 2030. Change is already underway.
