COSUCRA extracts inulin and oligofructose from chicory root. While these soluble fibres can be found in many fruits and vegetables, their concentration is highest in chicory root.
COSUCRA also extracts the full potential of a second natural raw material: peas. It’s hard to imagine anything smaller than a pea. Yet, the humble pea is huge in terms of nutritional potential! Peas contain up to 25% protein with high nutritional value, and their cell-wall fibre provides a naturally-sourced functional ingredient made up of dietary fibres. And that’s not all! Peas are not only high in protein or fibre; they also contain a lot of starch.
